Return Policy
We have a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is approved, we’ll send you instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
Exchanges
The best way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, use your credit voucher to make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds for online orders
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if a refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Refund applies in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
For change of mind order / wrong size, we can offer you credit voucher. There will be no refund for change of mind order.
According to Australian Consumer Law, we are not required to provide a refund or replacement if you change your mind.
You can choose a refund or exchange if an item has a genuine manufacturing fault, and the article cannot be repaired or replaced.
This is when the item:
a) has a fault which would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about it.
b) is unsafe or significantly different from the sample or description, or doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for, and can’t repaired or replaced.
Please keep your proof of purchase -e.g. your receipt.
- Items must be returned within 14 days of receipt.
- Your return parcel must be post stamped within 14 days of you receiving the order.
- Items must be returned in their original condition, including tags & packaging.
- Once we have received your returns we will inspect them before a credit is approved.
The Dress Code (NT) has the right to deny a refund if items have been used, worn or damaged in any way and will be returned to the sender. You will be notified via email if your returned item is not appropriate for a refund.
The cost of return shipping is at the customer’s expense and is non-refundable. We recommend returning items through traceable mail, as any returned items are the responsibility of the sender, and if they are not received by The Dress Code (NT) you will not qualify for a refund.
If you were shipped the wrong order, or an item you believe to be faulty, please notify us immediately by contacting our customer care team at thedresscodedarwin@outlook.com. Quote the order number and fault, or incorrect item. Shipping is non-refundable except in cases where we have made an error or a refund is issued for a genuine manufacturing fault, and the item cannot be repaired or replaced.
RETURNS POLICY FOR PURCHASES IN OUR KNUCKEY STREET STORE
For any purchases made in our Darwin store, we don’t offer refunds for change of mind. However we do offer exchange or store credit for returns within 14 days of purchase. Returned items must be in the same condition as purchased with original tags and packaging still in place, and proof of purchase must be presented.
